Alessandro Bandinelli is the owner with his daughter Olivia of Cantina Podere Fornace Prima.
We are located in Cerreto Guidi, 30 km from Florence, on the slopes of Montealbanoin a hilly area on the border with Vinci (the city of Leonardo), an area characterized by the presence of many vineyards and olive groves.
The Cantina Podere Fornace Prima has been cultivating these lands since 1950, from his grandfather Elìa, to Alessandro’s father, up to Alessandro and his daughter, who manage manage 4 hectares of vineyards and 500 olive trees that they cultivate following the biodynamic method, then using the preparation 500 (horn manure) and the preparation 501 (white quartz crystals).
Alessandro does not use fertilizers, but he sows several plants inside the vineyard to add organic substance and biodiversity so that, in spring, the vineyards are all in bloom recalling a multiplicity of insects.
The company has chosen to plant only native Tuscan vines such as Sangiovese, Canaiolo Nero, Malvasia Nera and Bianca, Trebbiamo and Vermentino.
During the harvest the picking of the grapes is manualand in boxes for some types, the wines are produced from grapes mainly in purity among which the black canaiolo Trebbiano and Sangiovese, with the exception of Chianti and Chianti Riserva traditionally produced in blends. .
In Cantina we chose to eliminate wood using only concrete and steel, and the reason is that the producer wants to make the vine that is born in these soils and in this climate feel without any kind of interference.
Fermentation is spontaneous and no chemicals are used, although allowed by the disciplinary, with the exception of sulfur dioxide that is added in small doses and only during bottling.

IL CAVALIERE 2017
From Cerreto Guidi near Florence, a 100% Sangiovese from mostly clay soil that arrives in the glass with elegance and personality. A homogeneous and lively ruby red, the nose has delicate notes of red fruits while the mouthfeel has an elegance of tannin, good balance and an excellent gustatory persistence.
The Cavaliere, drunk in just times and quantities, gives “gaiety to the
heart and joy to the soul. . . “

AUREA 2020
Only 1200 bottles of this pure Tuscan trebbiano, born in Cerreto Guidi in the province of Florence. The grapes have been grown in organic and biodynamic farming, in order to create life in the vineyard and to keep it up to the glass. Spontaneous fermentation in cement tanks without temperature control.
Of a nice lively straw yellow colour, on the nose are perceived delicate notes of white fruits, in the mouth a nice salinity gives the wine a great drinkability. Serve at 10/12°C.

SINCERE 2019
This is a Chianti produced from Sangiovese, Canaiolo and Trebbiano Bianco. The nose finds intriguing notes of humus, earth and undergrowth The palate is generous and you can recognize the rough personality but also the frankness typical of Sangiovese. After a first taste, its soft note prevails: tannins are present and well fused in the overall structure of the wine that softens and finds its balance in contact with the air Suitable to accompany dishes with rich flavours, such as dry soups and dishes based on red meat, game and mature cheeses

This vermentino smells of fresh fruit, freshly cut grass and a pleasant crust of bread. The mouthfeel is in a good balance between acidity and salinity, with a good structure, the finish is characterised by the right acidity that leaves the mouthfeel clean and waiting for the next sip. Invidia manages to transfer into the glass all the great vigor of the Trebbiano Toscano vine because it was chosen to wait to harvest its grapes only when properly ripe. It goes well with light appetizers, delicate pasta dishes also based on seafood and with seafood soups.
