How was WineJoy born

WineJoy is the result of an inner journey of two friends, Lella and Simona, who met among the benches of the course for Sommelier in January 2017.

Already then, we felt that wine could not only represent a score, quite tannic or quite intense, fresh or savory, ruby color with garnet hues.

Wine that everyone tried to possess through technical parameters, was not what we felt when we were walking around the cellars, when we entered into a strong connection with the winemaker and his land, the wind and vibrations that gave us the vineyard.
We think that a good wine is a HUMAN wine, therefore it comes from the rural tradition in which man is an observer and guardian of nature. HUMAN wine is son of a harmonious bond between man and nature and this is the reason why we have chosen to define our selection of wines H.U.M.A.N. (Harmonic Union Man And Nature).

Why only H.U.M.A.N. wine?

We would like to tell about wine in its complex simplicity, starting from the vineyard because a wine ‘H.U.M.A.N.’ was born from there, it is H.U.M.A.N. because behind there is a winemaker who cares for the land trying to make it recover its protective autonomy without being conditioned by chemicals, allowing the soil and consequently the fruits to obtain an amount of information that would otherwise be lost.

In our opinion a H.U.M.A.N. wine is produced by a custodian winemaker who did not inherit his lands but borrowed them from his sons, whose only purpose is to follow and guard life from the vineyard to the glass without serious interference.

During these years we have realized that according to us a good wine can only be a wine H.U.M.A.N. a wine that comes from a living place that ferments with its indigenous yeasts, which has low doses of added sulphites and which maintains its vitality avoiding clarifications and strong filtrations, a wine that is a true expression of a place and of the climatic trend of a specific vintage.

Obviously not all human wines are good, that’s why we have selected the wines of WineJoy one by one looking for the harmony with the food, the drinkability and the pleasantness of the scent and the sip trying to understand which wines we would buy for ourselves, and therefore for our everyday life and for special occasions.

We are sure that these wines will surprise you because they are unpredictable wines, never obvious, never equal thanks to the life that the winemaker has sought and kept in the vineyard and that you will find in your glasses.

We would like to fascinate you with the stories of the wineries we have chosen for you, and with the wines that are the result of a great respect for the nature that surrounds us, which is our home and our children’s, and for you who will bring them to the tables for your moments of joy.

Finally, we would like to end this short story of us and our project, with a phrase of our Master Sandro Sangiorgi, author of the book: “L’invenzione della gioia”:
