The adventure of Wine Joy marks in my life path the perfect combination of passion and profession:

About 20 years ago after a degree in Business Administration, a work experience in the Mondadori group in periodic marketing, then in management control and a course for young managers in SDA Bocconi, I left Milan to dedicate myself to the administration of a very small family-run distribution company created by my parents about 25 years before.
My family and I have been distributing soft drinks since my parents returned from Germany, where they emigrated in the 1970s to seek their fortune.
I inherited the business drive from my father. The degree in Business Administration seemed to me an extra card to continue in the family business with economic skills that allowed us to keep up with the times that quickly change the ways of the trades.
The fact that even today our company, despite the sudden changes and further difficulties in which the pandemic has led us, is alive and healthy, makes me think that I know how to do my job!
But just during the forced closure of the lockdown I began to mature the idea of wanting to try another entrepreneurial adventure, but this time alone!
The pandemic prompted me to reflect on a totally new way of making distribution, e-commerce, which for me has become another and more radical change not to be passively and unwillingly subjected, but a new opportunity to realize my dreams as an entrepreneur.
Until a few years ago the world of wine was in my eyes academic, globalized, oriented to marketing and all this clashed with my daily reality of a person who lives in a territory still today with a strong agricultural vocation, where the agricultural activity is carried out in great part still in manual form by the small farmer and his workers even when exercised in entrepreneurial form.
It often happens to me early in the morning when I go to work to be surprised to observe the curved labourers in the fields, in summer covered with white to bear the very high temperatures, in winter wrapped up to defend themselves from the rain and the cold. These people are the same people I meet on Sunday in the streets of the country, while they’re talking about all the efforts and economic difficulties to carry on the oldest work of man, which retains its original figure of fatigue, but of great beauty, because it allows you to be in contact with nature.
My origins, like those of most Italians, are peasant, before becoming entrepreneurial. I My bond with the land was inevitably interrupted when my parents decided to engage in commerce and I to continue their course, but I have always maintained a direct link with the land, living in a small agricultural center and having my office in the countryside.
It was just, a few years ago, a beautiful sunny day spent harvesting to help my parents in the family vineyard to make me return to the desire of contact with the earth and to instill curiosity for wine.
All this has resulted in an ever more assiduous and profound approach to the world of wine, which has led me to attend courses taught by renowned sommeliers, to visit vineyards and wineries.
In one of these courses, I met Simona, with whom I discovered to share the passion and curiosity for the complex world of wine.
We continued together our journey of knowledge of the world of natural wine producers, at first intrigued by the novelty of production methods, then fascinated by their simple and “natural” lifestyle, marked by respect for the great Mother Earth.
Putting together her skills as a sommelier and my entrepreneurial was a “natural” outlet, a challenge that we wanted to face and that we are sure to win, as we firmly believe in the values of respect for the Earth in which we live as OUR PRODUCERS that, for this reason, we choose with care before they become part of the BIG FAMILY of WineJoy
